This bolt inspires me. As I am writing this, she is still wet from a “procedure” done to her yesterday. This baby has been through a lot of procedures! I have worked off and on on this bolt for months. I think I have known she was big for me and sometimes I just had to take breaks from her, almost feeling overwhelmed by where she was taking me.
You see, this bolt was conceived and birthed in total freedom, and freedom is not something I am naturally great at living or painting in. Oh, I want to be…. in fact, it is probably my biggest dream...to live and love completely free from any constraints whatsoever. I want to live life slinging paint in every way. I want to see the world with eyes that have no boundaries. I want to love others in a way that doesn’t count the costs. I want to walk with great purpose never looking back to see who is watching.
I can see this freedom within Superbolt because I remember. For a moment, I was free; free to use every single thing I had on my art table, free to sling, spray and stick, and free to watch the surprise reaction of all the different paints when mixed together on the painting.
She has captivated me with her promise. She has sustained me and kept me hoping for more. She is strong and bold and free to be just who she is without apology. Her secret power is freedom. She is “SuperBolt.”
She has a way about her that is strong and unapologetic. She is not ashamed of the power she yields but instead bears it like a badge of sheer honor. She waves her bravery like a banner above her head and declares the world under her feet. And the way she walks through this world never looking back--you’d think she was a great warrior on the path to battle fully expecting great victory!
She’s my girl, this Superbolt. She is everything I want to be and she calls me with her on her journey. She knows we are stronger together...side by side.
